About Our In-Person Events
Our in-person events are held in the Lower Mainland, mostly in so-called “Vancouver, British Columbia”.
For accessibility, we hold our events generally in East Vancouver where most of the Anishinaabe Diaspora in the city resides.
In-person events are open to the general public; however, we do prioritize Anishinaabe registration and needs to serve our community.
In-Person Event Location
Most in-person events are held at Britannia Community Centre (see address below):
We will announce and let people know a change from our regular venue of operations on the Events page. Each scheduled event will note where it is held.
What Events We Offer
We offer an array of events that reflect the needs of our community:
Language Gatherings & Classes
Traditional Loom Weaving Tutorials
Beading Workshops
Nature Walks
Medicine Making
Traditional Dance Practice
Regalia Making Tutorials
Traditional Storytelling Circles
Communal Dinners
Traditional Birch Bark Crafts & More!
These events are led with Anishinaabe traditions and protocols.
We also begin each event with a land acknowledgement to the Coast Salish Peoples whose lands we reside on as guests.
